A prayer for patience in suffering

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Thank you Father that you have promised never to leave us or forsake us. Help Michelle to remember that you are always there for her. When others criticize, when she is misunderstood, when frustration abounds calm her spirit with your presence. Remind her and all of us who name Jesus Christ as Lord that the best is yet to come. Thank you for the opportunities and ventures of this life, thank you more for the wonders and beauties of heaven that we will experience for all eternity. We give you all glory, honor, and praise in the Jesus’ name. Amen

A prayer for the peace of God in our hearts

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also you are called in one body; and be thankful.

Thank you Father for our leaders. As they govern and lead us may they be led by you. Give them your peace. Give Michelle your peace when there is none to be found in the daily demands and routines of her current life. Cause her to find you within her heart and whisper words of thanks for your presence and protection. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

A prayer for generosity, cheerful giving

2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver.

Thank you Father for your generosity with us. You are the giver of every good and perfect gift. You gave us your very best when you sent us your Son, the Lord Jesus. May we be generous as well in our giving to your kingdom and to each other. Thank you for the open heart you have given to the Obamas as they seek to make life better for everyone in our country. Remind them of the obligation and opportunity to support your local church. Help them navigate the difficult waters of being obedient to your commands in a world that is hostile to you and your church. Thank you for your great love for us, may we be cheerful givers in return. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

A Prayer for wisdom and knowledge of God

Proverbs 3:13 Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.

Thank you Father that we do not have to live in this world without knowing what you want or how you expect us to live. I pray for Michelle and also for every believer who names the name of Jesus Christ as Saviour that we seek your will and not our own. That we crave and desire your ways and thoughts. Thank you for the access you provide to us and the spiritual capacity to understand. May we all find the happiness that comes from knowing you and your ways. Lead Michelle in her desire to do the right things your way. Protect her and her family for the road you would have us travel in our search is not always smooth. Thank you for being our God. Prayer for the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 1:13 In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.

We can be grateful Father that you always keep your Word. Even the best of us cannot always do what we say. You have promised the gift of the Holy Spirit to those of us who respond to the gospel of your salvation. A gift that can never be taken away. I pray that Michelle has taken advantage of the free gift you offer through your Son the Lord Jesus Christ and that the Holy Spirit abide in her heart to make you more and more real to her each day.
