Treasures in heaven...

Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

We are on our marks Father, help us get set on things above and go into the world in the name of Jesus. Let us not be weighted down by worldly things but be mindful of our assignment to bring you glory. Michelle’s assignment is weighty right now Lord, we pray for her strength in you. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Treasures of the heart...

Matthew 6:20-21 Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

We are grateful Father for the opportunity to have resources available to us and the experience of worldly treasure. Help us; help Michelle to keep those treasures in perspective and to guard our hearts from idolatry. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

The wicked shall cease from troubling...

Job 3:17 There the wicked cease from troubling: and there the weary be at rest.

Thank you Father that you know the names and faces of those who trouble us, and that you have a plan for them just as for us. You will quiet all the harassment, criticism, and bigotry. You will shut the mouths of hatred, chaos and confusion. I will be glad for that day Lord and I know Michelle will too. Thank you Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

God shall wipe all tears...

Revelation 21:4 God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.

Father, I can only imagine the joy of having your hand wipe the tears from my eyes, never to have to shed a tear again. I know it will make every tear shed worthwhile. Keep Michelle’s heart in your hand until then and we will try to wait patiently for that blessed day. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Our labor is not in vain.

Philippians 1:23 – 24 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.

Thank you Father that your plan for us includes work that is to be done here in these bodies of flesh and then there will be rest in your presence. Give Michelle the certainty of her work here and the peace of knowing that work for your glory is never in vain. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Our home in Glory land!

John 14:2, 3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

We’ve got a home in glory land that outshines the sun. Thank you Father for the prepared place you have for each of us that has been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Looking forward to that day when we will all meet and fellowship in your presence. Praying Lord in that day that the entire Obama family will be found around your throne. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Jesus paved the way.

Hebrews 6:19,20 Within the veil; whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus.

No one else Father, could pave the way to you for us except Jesus. Thank you for His finished work, for in that work I can find peace with you. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Real rest is coming.

Hebrews 4:9 There remains therefore a rest to the people of God.

Thank you Father that life on this earth is not all there is. Keep us, keep Michelle reminded that this life is the beginning of a much greater plan you have for each of us as individuals. The best is yet to come. Real rest will not be found here, but it is coming. Thank you Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
