Even our enemies...

Proverbs 16:7 When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

He purchased our peace...

Father, we often work hard at trying to please others but your Word today is telling us that when we please you then even our enemies have to be at peace with us. Cause Michelle to walk in the way of peace because she walks close to you. Thank you for all her efforts to stand by her husband, her family and to improve this country by her work. May all her enemies be at peace with her. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

A soft answer turns away wrath...

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.

Father, help us today with our words. There is already too much anger and strife in the world. Tempers are short, wisdom is lacking. Give us discernment and guard Michelle’s spirit with the peace and calm of your presence. May the words of her mouth and the meditations of her heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord our strength and our Redeemer. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen

Wisdom begins with you Lord!

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Thank you Father that your instructions are plain and simple. Help Michelle to hunger and thirst for knowledge of you. Increase her desire to honor you with her life and glorify you in all she does. You have promised that as we seek for you, we will find you. As we find you, then wisdom and understanding follow right behind.  Thank you for giving us the knowledge of how to begin. In the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.

Get wisdom!

Proverbs 4: 5-7 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you. 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Get Wisdom! Our Father and our God, you are worthy of all glory, and honor and praise we offer. Thank you for making it possible for us to fellowship with you and in the process become conformed to your will and ways. Help Michelle to understand her role and place in your Kingdom. Grant her wisdom and understanding for all the days of her life. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord I pray. Amen.

Honoring God with our giving.

Proverbs 3: 9 – 10 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; ¹⁰ So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Thank you Father for the bounty and generosity of your giving to us. May Michelle be diligent in contributing to the growth of your Kingdom. You have promised to keep us full to overflow when we honor you with our tithes and offerings. Thank you that we can trust your Word. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Not wise in our own eyes

Proverbs 3: 7 - 8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.

Thank you Father for the wonderful opportunities you have given to Michelle and her family. Thank you for their zeal, enthusiasm and tenacity. Help them to always rely on wisdom from you. You have promised in your Word that if we honor you and depart from evil that life sustaining blessings will be ours. In the name of Jesus Christ our Savior I pray. Amen

Show us the way Lord.

Proverbs 3: 5 – 6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,  And lean not on your own understanding;   ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him,  And He shall direct your paths.

Thank you Lord for knowing all we need to know and for being willing to show us the way of understanding and wisdom. Keep Michelle, keep all of us reminded to acknowledge you, ask you and follow you in the way you have laid out for us. We thank you for the ability to think, reason and make decisions, but help us to trust you in all things and not rely only on what we know. Thank you for being our God and our way maker, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Thank you Father for the opportunity to be in relationship, personal and intimate relationship with you. You are the almighty and only God of this universe, you are sovereign and hold everything in order, yet you still love us. Cause us and especially Michelle to crave the experience of fellowship with you. You promised that if we seek for you, we will find you. Thank you that your Word is true. We are ever grateful for your attention to us. These prayers we offer in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

Wisdom is the principal thing!

Author’s note: For the months of March and April all our Scriptures will be from the Book of Proverbs. “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom.” Proverbs 4:7. We will be praying for Michelle’s relationship with the Lord and the impact of her life on her family and those around her.
