Thank you for Michelle’s life.

Philippians 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,  4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy.

Father, thank you as always for Michelle, her family, her life, her influence. Keep her, protect her, guide her, guard her. Draw her closer to you each day. Cause your Word to dwell in her heart richly. Create in others the desire to pray for her and all that surrounds her. May your hedge of protection be an invisible, invincible shield around her. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We will be changed.

1 John 3:2-3  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

Time is winding up!!

Father what a blessing. We will be changed. We will be like Him. What a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus we’ll sing and shout the victory. On that day may Michelle and her family be numbered with all of those who love His appearing. In this very moment bring about thoughts of you, of your redeeming love and salvation to the forefront of her mind. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

A Lively Hope.

1 Peter 1: 3 – 4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.

Father thank you for a lively hope and an incorruptible inheritance. Blessings for now and for eternity. Thank you that you never change and that you always keep your Word. Give Michelle the assurance, the confidence, and the joyful anticipation that comes from knowing that Jesus is alive and alive in our hearts when we call on His name. In the name of Jesus Christ. We can sing a new song.

Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. ²He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. ³And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Dearest Father, thank you for a new song. A song that we can sing on good days and bad days. A song we can sing in times of plenty and times of woe. A song that comes from the joy of having your presence in our lives. May Michelle be able to sing that song, a song that gives her comfort and a song that gives you praise. Thank you for being our great God, increase our trust in you. In the name of your Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Making a difference in our world.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Thank you Father for Michelle’s life and the impact she is having on our world. Help her to remember that everything we have and everything we can do is by your grace and mercy. Thank you for all that you are doing in and through her. Cause her to be drawn closer and closer to you each day. Help her rely on your wisdom and truth so that her light will shine for you and bring you glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Working in your Kingdom.

Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: ²⁰Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Father, in the name of Jesus thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your Kingdom and work for you. I pray that Michelle will know the reality of relationship with you through your Son the Lord Jesus Christ and feel the urgency of living for you and telling others about you. May she be able to withstand the pressure of being in the public eye by being bold and confident in You. Thank you for her life, protect husband her family as they go about their daily routine. In the name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen

The law of the LORD is perfect.

Psalm 19: 7 – 9 " 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.”

Dear Father, You are the Supreme Awesome creator and sustainer of the universe. Your name is shouted to the entire universe because of how you have set the order of things. No one can escape or is exempt from your rule. May Michelle get to know your Word. I pray that it will enlighten, enliven, embolden, encourage and remove impurities from her life. May her heart and words be appropriate and acceptable for offering before your throne. In the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

We are God’s Workmanship

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Dear Father you have said “We are your workmanship”. I have a request of my own and I don’t know what Michelle wants to be but I want to be a work that when you look at me you say “well done”. I know I have a long way to go, but I am comforted by knowing that I can keep diving into your Word and be confident that it is bringing about changes and transformations in me even when I’m not always cooperative. And so I also pray for Michelle, day by day their lives are under a microscope and everyone who is looking does not have their best interest at heart. I am praying Father with all my heart that she know you, know your Word and find that comfort and confidence that I find in you. Thank you for being such an available God, who loves and cares for us, who protects us from our enemies, who speaks to us through the Word, and who never leaves or forsakes us. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Let her own works praise her in the gates.

Proverbs 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.

I am glad that you know us Lord. You formed and created us in your image, you know our needs, and our hearts desires. Thank you for all the hard work that Michelle does for her family and the families of this country, even of the world. Grant her the inner satisfaction of knowing her work is good but also let her hear from others that she is doing a good job. We all look forward to that day when you will say “thou good and faithful servant, well done”, but in the meantime Lord help us know we are on the right track. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior, I pray. Amen

Her children rise up and call her blessed!

Proverbs 31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her:

Thank you Lord for the parental responsibilities of Michelle and Barack. Protect them and keep them close to you, to each other and to their children. Thank you that Michelle takes seriously her role of wife and mother. Give her wisdom, security and love that can help her keep focus on supporting her children. Give Sasha and Malia cooperative and loving spirits as they respond to the efforts of their parents. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

Who can find a virtuous wife?

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. ¹¹ The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.

Thank you Lord for the marriage relationship of Michelle and Barack. Protect them and keep them close to you and to each other. Thank you that Michelle takes seriously her role of wife and mother. Give her wisdom, security and love that can help her keep focus on supporting her husband. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

A woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

Thank you Lord that you have made Michelle a beautiful woman. May her inner beauty also shine as the brightness of the sun because it radiates from a love for you. Cause her to be recognized and encouraged because of the strength of her character. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him!

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure;  He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

You are Holy Father, the power of your perfection in our shelter. You  are open to us who are your children, thank you for the comfort of seeking your refuge. Keep Michelle close, safe and guarded this day and every day. You alone are able to keep her and her loved ones. Thank you that you are willing. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Whoever confesses and forsakes their sins will have mercy.

Proverbs 28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

Thank you Father that we don’t have to hide our sins from you. We cannot even if we try but you have made the way for us to confess our sins to you and find mercy through your Son the Lord Jesus Christ who intercedes for us even now. Give Michelle the recognition of her sins and willingness to be open with you. We can trust you Lord, even with our deepest hurts. Thank you for your great love for us. A good name and loving favor.

Proverbs 22:1 A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold.

Father, the world watches and seems to delight in what it considers the flaws and mistakes of our leaders and their loved ones. Protect Michelle and her family with the blessings of a good name and loving favor. Your loving favor Lord is worth more than the accolades of men. Plant the desire to please you deep in Michelle’s heart and give her the courage and strength to stand for you in this world. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Take control of what I say, O LORD, and guard my lips

Proverbs 21:23 Whoever guards his mouth and tongue.  Keeps his soul from troubles.

Help us Lord to be honest with ourselves and with you. Many of our stresses and distresses can be related to our choice of words. In the words of the Psalmist “Take control of what I say, O LORD, and guard my lips.” Please, grant Michelle the wisdom and discernment to continue this practice. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

The blessing of friends.

Proverbs 18:24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Father, thank you for the opportunity to have friends and to be a friend. Thank you for those who surround Michelle, who she can count as friends and who have her best interest at heart. Remind her that our Lord Jesus showed the greatest love of a friend when He gave His life for us. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

Even our enemies...

Proverbs 16:7 When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

He purchased our peace...

Father, we often work hard at trying to please others but your Word today is telling us that when we please you then even our enemies have to be at peace with us. Cause Michelle to walk in the way of peace because she walks close to you. Thank you for all her efforts to stand by her husband, her family and to improve this country by her work. May all her enemies be at peace with her. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

A soft answer turns away wrath...

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.

Father, help us today with our words. There is already too much anger and strife in the world. Tempers are short, wisdom is lacking. Give us discernment and guard Michelle’s spirit with the peace and calm of your presence. May the words of her mouth and the meditations of her heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord our strength and our Redeemer. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen

Wisdom begins with you Lord!

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Thank you Father that your instructions are plain and simple. Help Michelle to hunger and thirst for knowledge of you. Increase her desire to honor you with her life and glorify you in all she does. You have promised that as we seek for you, we will find you. As we find you, then wisdom and understanding follow right behind.  Thank you for giving us the knowledge of how to begin.
