Our God Saves

Psalm 20:6 Now know I that the LORD saves his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

Holy Father, what confidence we can have in you. The Psalmist says I know you save and I know you hear your chosen people, I know you have the power. Encourage Michelle’s heart with that knowledge and confidence. Give her boldness that she may speak of and for you. Create in her a reflection of your glory. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

A prayer of encouragement

1Samuel 12:16........stand and see this great thing which the Lord will do before your eyes...

Father, each day you show us new mercies, each day you pour out blessings that we cannot ever finish counting. Today Lord, may Michelle be encouraged as she looks back over the hours just past and see the day through your eyes. All the people, the events, the quiet moments, the smiles, the handshakes, the places, the faces, the wonders, the joys, the worries and maybe even the tears. You bring nothing across our path by accident, may she learn to see your purpose and work in her life. How grateful we are O God for your presence, your great love and your mercy. May Michelle and all of us see the great things to are doing before our eyes. We praise you and offer these prayers in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen

A prayer for peace in our lives

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dear Father, our world is full of chaos and confusion. There is so much darkness in the hearts of men. Hold back the night, drive away the enemy as only you can. Preserve us in peace, peace that passes all understanding. May your blessings continually be upon Michelle and her family. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

A Prayer for wisdom and knowledge of God

Proverbs 3:13 Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.

Thank you Father that we do not have to live in this world without knowing what you want or how you expect us to live. I pray for Michelle and also for every believer who names the name of Jesus Christ as Saviour that we seek your will and not our own. That we crave and desire your ways and thoughts. Thank you for the access you provide to us and the spiritual capacity to understand. May we all find the happiness that comes from knowing you and your ways. Lead Michelle in her desire to do the right things your way. Protect her and her family for the road you would have us travel in our search is not always smooth. Thank you for being our God. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

A prayer of praise – no other God beside thee

Isaiah 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

You are the Lord, beside you there is no other. Thank you for being our great Sovereign God, creator, sustainer, and ruler of the entire universe. Watch over Michelle as only you can. Keep her safe and remind her of your presence and power. May she find comfort in praise. In the name of Jesus. Amen

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Lord, I praise and thank you for being with me. You are God and yet you love me. How I thank you. I pray that Michelle will feel your presence and the comfort and joy of knowing you. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Glory in knowing God

Jeremiah 9: 23—24 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: 24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

Thank you Father, that you allow us to know you. That you are generous in revealing yourself to us in many ways. May Michelle find new and exciting things about you each day. As she grows in you may you shine through her. In her home, in public, in private. May she always have that inner peace that comes from knowing and giving you glory. In Jesus' name. Amen

Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

Dear Father, I pray that Michelle meditate on your Word all the time. As she meditates and practices, she can do what it says. Her consistent exposures to your Word will spiritually prosper her and give her your success. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray. Amen

2 Timothy 3: 16 -17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works...”

Dear Father you have said in another place “We are God’s workmanship” (Ephesians 2:10) I have a request of my own and I don’t know what Michelle wants to be but I want to be a work that when you look at me you say “well done”. I know I have a long way to go, but I am comforted by knowing that I can keep diving into your Word and be confident that it is bringing about changes and transformations in me even when I’m not always cooperative. And so I also pray for Michelle, day by day their lives are under a microscope and everyone who is looking does not have their best interest at heart. I am praying Father with all my heart that she know you, know your Word and find that comfort and confidence that I find in you. Thank you for being such an available God, who loves and cares for us, who protects us from our enemies, who speaks to us through the Word, and who never leaves or forsakes us. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Acceptable in His sight

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

Thank you Father for being our God and always being with us. Sometimes we forget that we are in your presence even if we are not thinking of you. I ask today that Michelle feel your presence in her life each and every moment, that she take comfort in knowing your nearness. And not only comfort but motivation to serve you in ways that are acceptable to you. As she speaks, and thinks and ponders and wonders and muses - may she remember your loving presence. May the words of her mouth and the meditations of her heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, our strength and our Redeemer. In the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord. Amen

Grace through strength in Jesus Christ

2 Timothy 2:1............be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Dearest Father, grace, undeserved favor from you. Grace, abundant blessings in spite of ourselves. Grace, sufficient for all of our needs. Grace, bestowed on us through your son, the Lord Jesus. How I bless your name and ask your grace to be upon Michelle, that she would feel and know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you are her sustainer. You are her God and that Jesus is her Savior. I pray that she know the wonderful warmth of closeness with you. Closeness with you, the Sovreign God of this universe, that comes from grace that is in Christ Jesus. Amen

Steadfastness

2 Thessalonians 3:5 says, "May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance."

Father, I imagine some days that Michelle may get weary. Tired of the constant prying eyes and sometimes insincere motives. May she be reminded that your eyes are on her always and the your love has sustaining and keeping power. May the love, the Word and the rule of Christ dwell in her richly. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Discernment:

Philippians 1:9-11 says, "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God"

Our Father in Heaven, I pray that Michelle increase in her knowledge and insight into who you are, for the more we know about you the more we love you. The more we love you the more we are able to be wise in our thinking and decision making. May Michelle's influence and impact reflect the presence of Jesus Christ, His purity and His righteousness, all to the glory an praise of you, our Father. In the name of our matchless Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Strength and knowledge of God's love

Ephesians 3:16-19 says, "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Thank you Father for the wonderful warmth, power, strength and fellowship of your love. May Michelle know deeply the love of Christ and may it shine through her as she moves about and touches others. May her family, friends and associates feel the peace that comes from you when they are in her presence and may they be motivated to seek relationship with you as a result. Thank you for all you have assigned her hands to do. Thank you for your great and immeasurable love for us. Help us to love you deeply in return. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
