Keeping our eyes on God in times of trouble.

Job 5:6, 7 Affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

Father God, there is no end to trouble in this world. There is no shortage of trial, travail, and temptation, yet you our Father know it all, see it all and you have it all under your control. Keep our eyes, keep Michele’s eyes turned upward to you and as the sparks fly upward may we all be looking to you. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Enduring temptation

1 Peter 1: 6 – 7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: ⁷That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Our Father, sometimes the weight of temptation is great and we struggle under the load. Thank you that our endurance and victory will give the Lord Jesus glory when He appears. May Michelle grow in strength and dependence on you. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray. Amen

James 1: 2– 4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Dear Father, We can count on trials coming. James says - don't be surprised or think it's some strange thing that should not be happening. I pray for Michelle that she may be able to "count it all joy". Rejoice?  Yes, be glad that you are providing her with an opportunity to grow. Just like the little seedling in our picture, growing strong through adversity. Keep her eyes focused on you Lord, keep her heart filled with your presence. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Set your mind on things above

Colossians 3:2..............Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Dear Father, I am so glad you know all about us and all the things we face here on this earth. I am so glad you provided us with a way to meet the challenges of our own sin nature, of temptation, and the attractiveness of the world's ways. Help Michelle to keep her eyes focused on you. When her heart's desire may only be a word away, help her to remember, help her to be wise, help her to stay grounded in you. I pray that all who name the name of Jesus Christ as Savior be likeminded. Thank you and bless your name. Amen.
